Dear Customer or visitor. At this time, two very powerful double Pentium 4 Dell Servers were installed direct to the Internet backbone in Miami to offer a new service to our Customers as well as those that are not our Customers. Micro Macro Mundo Inc. is proud to inform that, due the high number of people that inquires about how to sell their collections or how to find a determined piece to complete their collections, has decided to install 2 powerful machines to accommodate an AUCTION SITE developed as an image of eBay but just dedicated to accept Trains and collectibles that normally have been related to Trains and all kind of accessories or material related to Trains, including but not limited to Catalogs, Brochures, Computer Programs to control Trains, Trains on Stamps, Train memorabilia, Antics, vehicles for layouts, etc. The web site will work exactly the same way eBay works, in fact, it is the same type of program as we have dedicated all our efforts and resources, to get the same automatic program. For those familiar with eBay, will find no differences at all except the fees to pay a lot lower, plus a select public that is 100% related to Model Trains. Among the advantages compared to eBay, we will have categories and sub-categories that represent 100% the item you are selling/buying so bidders can go straight on the items they look for. If one category does not exist, you can e-mail us and in less than 10 minutes will be available to post items. You do not need us to post your items. You can directly do it your self and select in a wide array of choices as you have on eBay, but with reasonable fees. For those that do not have the time or the resources or just don't want to do it, we will publish the items for you. We offer 2 choices: a) Post from a list you send to us and use of our own pictures to promote the item (if available in our databanks) b) Post the items you sent to us after we catalog them, inspect for condition, estimate value, scan or picture them, charge the buyer credit card, ship the item for you, pay you by check. Of course, option "b" will have a flat rate based in a percentage of the proceed of the sale in auction on those items sold. If item does not sell, you do not owe anything and we will post it again until we can get a bid on it or you claim the item back to you. Option "a" will have a fee for the administrative work we must do, type and post the item on auction, set price, publish pictures, etc., based in a insertion fee and a percentage of the sale if the item sells. This fees will be a little higher than those if you are who post the item and do all the work, but still very affordable. To feed this site, it will be promoted with a few of the best Auction Houses in Germany and the UK that get items for auction. This auction houses are normally "Live auctions" so your maximum bids for those products must be in before the date the auction starts. The program takes care on bidding up till the maximum you have allowed in increments that are just the minimum allowed to outbid other bid. It does not mean that it will be set to your maximum if it is not necessary. We believe that this new web site will create a lot of interest as it will be driven by Train people, and Train people know where to move the gauges for the steam to pass and move the wheels. We know that we will face a fierce competence from eBay, but eBay is total impersonal, expensive place to have your items sold where you can never find an answer to your questions or a human being to solve your problem. Not even a phone number is given on eBay and to find help, is extremely difficult. We are here to serve as we always have done. This new site will not compete against our regular business as we will not post any items that is not at least 1 year old, so no new items or new releases will be posted by us directly to auction. We will face some competition from other's people posting this kind of products. It is O.K. we will accept it. The only rule is that Dealers posting on this web site, must comply with the rule not to sell items under 1 year old from Marklin, Trix, Minitrix or Fleischmann. The idea of this site is NOT to bankrupt the American Dealers but to offer a tool to those that need to move their stock or those that need to sell their collections for any reason. We hope we will count with your support and we hope, if you have anything for sale, either post it on the auction place or send it in to our Store for us to post it for you. A complete set of rules and fees is being published on the web site. We expect to have running the site near the end of the Month after we receive the OK of the software people. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact us at auction@rocousa.com or by phone at ++1-305-279-8033 International auctioneers are welcomed.
